La Casa de Pilatos se encuentra en la plaza de Pilatos de Sevilla, edificada mezclando los estilos renacentista italiano y el mudéjar español, es considerada como un prototipo de palacio andaluz.
La construcción de este palacio adornado de preciosos azulejos mudéjares y bellos jardines se inició a finales del siglo XV, por iniciativa y deseo de D. Pedro Enríquez(Adelantado Mayor de Andalucía) y su esposa Catalina de Ribera, pero tuvo que ser finalizada por el hijo de ambos, Fadrique Enríquez de Ribera (primer Marqués de Tarifa), que fue el responsable de que la vivienda llegase a nuestros tiempos nombrada como es conocida tras un viaje de peregrinación que realizó a Jerusalén en1519, y que a su regreso realizó diversas reformas, el acabado hace que la idea popular fuera que copió la «casa» del famoso pretorio Poncio Pilatos.
